Behind the Scenes: Wisconsin Resort Shoot
For the past week, I’ve been in Wisconsin filming for a timeshare resort company! Tons of work went into filming as much as we did in such a short period time. The days were long and it was disgustingly humid but the trip was amazing!
Check out some Behind the Scenes Photos!

Our model “family” canoeing on a mini lake.
Filming our model “couple” on a speed boat driving down the Wisconsin river.
The model family goes mini golfing.
At the waterpark. Probably one of the most intense waterparks I’ve ever been to! The wave pool literally looked like a Tsunami haha
Huge emphasis was placed on the golf scenes. Too bad our models didn’t know how! lol
New Work
Several weeks ago, I was fortunate to work with Style File Daily (love them!) again for their “One to Watch” category. This time, we shot upcoming actress, Haley Ramm. Haley’s new movie “Bond of Silence” just premiered on Lifetime last night! She was so cute and nice; and why do actresses have way better skin than models?? Her skin was amazing. So easy

New Work: Alexandra Daddario for Style File Daily

I had the pleasure of working with Alexandra Daddario from Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief for Style File Daily. The shoot was really fun and Alexandra was super sweet (and her skin was flawless!!).

These Boost Mobile Commercials were really fun to shoot because of the prosthetics! They had a separate Special FX team come in for the crazy faces and we were cracking up all day! There is one more from the series that hasn’t been released yet, and it’s the scariest face ever!! They made her hold a baby and the baby FREAKED. haha!

My New Work: Tea Party Music Video!!
Kerli Music Video for the Alice in Wonderland Soundtrack
A few months ago I was fortunate to be a part of Kerli’s new music video for the Alice and Wonderland soundtrack, Almost Alice. It was a long day of shooting, but the costumes hair and makeup were killer and it was such a fun day on set. The video was shot entirely on green screen! Check it out and let me know what you think!!

2010 New Year’s Resolutions
Happy New Year!! It’s hard to believe we are a decade into the 2000′s already! Today, everyone has probably started working on their new year’s resolutions for 2010, and I am right there with you. Most resolutions are forgotten before Valentine’s Day even rolls around, but I am a firm believer in setting goals and working toward them at full force! As most of you probably know, I am a freelance makeup artist and I just wanted to share several of my work related goals with my readers to keep myself accountable and motivated.
Before that… Let’s remember 2009!
My Biggest Accomplishments in 2009 (work related)
- Getting my first billboard!!
- Working on a series of Geico Commercials for the National Geographic Channel.
- Assisting an amazing artist for a Coca Cola Campaign.
- Getting my first magazine covers (2 of them!)
- Working on a national commercial for CiCi’s Pizza
2010 Goals!
- Continuing To Build My Portfolio by Working with Amazing Photographers, Models, and Stylists- Working in print is my favorite area of makeup artistry. Collaborating with a team to create a visually flawless still image is my favorite thing to do! I am constantly pushing myself, and I am so excited to beat down the doors of the photographers I am dying to work with this year.
- Work with More Celebrities- Being a “Celebrity Makeup Artist” is not one of my main goals, but there is a certain prestige that goes along with the title. People assume you are better if you have celebrity names on your resume, and agencies look for it too.
- Do More Television Work- While print is my passion, TV has been growing on me a bit more lately. I would love to continue to explore this area of my craft by doing more commercials and promos.
- Get on an Agency Assistant’s List- Artist agencies are notoriously difficult to sign under. I would loooove to be able to get on several agency’s assistant lists in the next year to start building these relationships.
- Get to Know More Makeup Artists! Knowing other makeup artists is crucial in this business. They can refer jobs to you when they are booked and vice versa. It’s great to be able to talk to other artists, swap techniques, chat about products and share work horror stories
I do not know many makeup artists and am determined to find several this year! If you are a makeup artist, please send me a comment or an email! - Grow My Blog- My blog is still very new, but I am in love with it! I have always loved to write and this is a great outlet for me. I want to continue to make it grow, and I would even love more readers (even though I love the ones I have already
).
So here they are, my goals for 2010! What are yours??? Please share!! I would love to hear about them.

Red Lips for World AIDS Day
Today is World AIDS Day and it’s geared toward educating the public about the people living with HIV and AIDS. In observance to this important day, Obsessive Compulsive is donating 100% of the sales of their red Nail Lacquer “NSFW” to NAESM.ORG. I have never tried their nail polishes but I am in LOVE with their lip tars!!!
The Perfect Lip Color For World AIDS Day
I am wearing their NSFW Lip Tar, in honor of World AIDS Day:

It’s a little bit darker in person. More of a deep blood red.

A recent photo shoot of mine where I used NSFW Lip Tar as well. I love it!
